Excavation workshop
In a simulated excavation, located inside a hut on the site, the students will learn how to use the tools used by archaeologists and learn about excavation and interpretation techniques.
Once the remains from thousands and thousands of years ago, spontaneously located in what has now become a site, have been located, the students will learn how to analyze, classify, date and reconstruct them, if necessary. This whole process will conclude in a general interpretation that will provide us with new information or confirm already known questions about the life of our ancestors.
The excavation workshop lasts 1.30 hours and is aimed at secondary school students.

To guarantee access to the workshops and caves, reservations must be made in advance of the day of the visit in the reservations section.

The price includes the monitor.
If the school hires three activities in Espluga de Francolí will enjoy a 10% discount.
If the group consists of more than 30 students, it will be necessary to enter in 2 or more shifts.
The temperature in the caves is the same throughout the year: between 14 and 17 degrees. In spring/summer it is advisable to bring a jacket.
